Synopsis :
Robbie, a 9-year old boy, is being bullied at school. He lives on the beach in a little hotel with his parents and brother.
On the last day of school Robbie has to say farewell to a lot of things. Firstly to his older, caring brother who will leave school. Then there is the slowly dying whale that beached on the shore in front of his bedroom window. And last but not least he has to say goodbye to his father who dies of a heart attack due to the excitement of the Belgium-England match during the 1990 World Cup.
But then Robbie finds comfort and even a possibility for a new life in these tragedies... The sudden death of his father makes him a hero for his friends.
